- Write truth table for function
- Provide inverters to generate inverse of each input
- For each table row with 1 in result (M) column
- Draw AND gate with one input for each table input column
- Wire AND gate to appropriate inputs (or their inputs)
- Feed output of AND gate into an OR gate
