x

Working with Natural Logarithms

Natural Logs
  • Natural logs are essentially a log with base \(e\). E.G. \(\ln x=\log_{e}x\)
  • \(e^{\ln x}=\ln(e^x)=x\)
Example of equations with natural logs
  • \(e^{2x+3}=7\)
  • \(2x+3=\ln7\)
  • \(2x=\ln(7)-3\)
  • \(x=\frac{\ln(7)-3}{2}\)
