Hadrons

Hadrons
  • In a nucleus, there are multiple protons. This means that they would normally repel each other, and need a strong force (nuclear or interaction) to hold together.
  • Hadrons are the only particle that can feel the strong nuclear force
  • They are not fundemental particles, they are made up of Baryons and Mesons
Types of hadrons
  • They include protons, neutrons and mesons
  • They can be charged. If they are charged, they experience the electromagnetic force
  • They decay by the weak nuclear force
  • In greek, Hadron means "Thick"
