Single Slit Diffraction taking place with various slit gaps
Single Slit Diffraction
In this image, destructive interference is taking place.
- If the wavelength of the diffracting light is smaller, then the pattern will be closer together (squished)
- Opposite for bigger wavelength
- If the slit gets smaller, then the pattern will be dimmer because less light will be getting through.
- Opposite for slit getting bigger.
