Surds
What are surds?
- If \(n\) is an integer that is not a square number then any multiple of \(\sqrt{n}\) is called a surd.
- Surds are irrational numbers, meaning that it's decimal version goes on forever.
- Surds can be used to write exact answers to calculations.

- \(\sqrt{\frac{a}{b}}\) = \(\sqrt{a}\over{\sqrt{b}}\)
